Founding partner and a dean of the Illinois trial bar, Al Haynes has taken over seventy cases to jury verdict including dozens of wrongful death and catastrophic injury suits. Opponents have described Al as a bulldog for his relentless, yet deft, examinations of adverse witnesses.
Al travels regularly, having argued to judges and juries in dozens of counties across Illinois and neighboring states, plus various Federal district courts. His ability to personalize clients and unique approach to simplifying evidence in complex, high-exposure cases has produced a history of superior results. Clients regularly ask Al to shepherd a large loss to resolution before suit or to join their team as trial counsel.
His concentrations include transportation, construction and premises liability claims. Al also writes and presents on various topics such as the evolution of “retained control” claims involving independent contractors, product liability theories, and construction litigation.
Al was recognized as one the top trial lawyers in the State in the Inaugural Illinois Super Lawyers.
